Will this sear work with my factory M&P trigger shoe?

Yes. The sear is designed as a standalone upgrade and interfaces directly with the factory trigger bar and shoe. You do not need to replace the trigger shoe to see performance improvements.

Does this sear affect trigger safety or drop safety?

No. The sear maintains the factory engagement geometry and does not modify the sear-to-stripper block interface. The M&P’s internal safeties (trigger safety, striker block) remain fully functional. The sear is not a trigger shoe replacement, so the trigger safety is unchanged.

Will this sear reduce trigger pull weight too much for duty or competition use?

Typical pull weight after installation ranges from 4.5–5.5 lbs with a factory trigger return spring. This is suitable for USPSA Production, IDPA SSP, and law enforcement duty use.
