Tools needed: 3/32” punch, small hammer, needle-nose pliers, and a file or stone for safety-leg fitting. Allow 30–60 minutes. If unfamiliar with sear engagement adjustments, recommend professional installation by a qualified armorer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this work with an extended firing pin?

No. We recommend using only the factory firing pin and factory firing pin return spring. Aftermarket firing pins or springs can alter sear engagement timing and may create unsafe conditions. This kit is engineered for stock firing pin geometry.

Can I use this kit in a CZ 75 SP-01?

No. This kit is specifically designed for CZ Shadow and Shadow 2 series pistols. The sear and hammer geometry differs from standard CZ 75/SP-01 frames. Installing it in a non-Shadow model will not produce correct engagement or pull weights.

Does the single-action pull weight change with mainspring tension?

Yes. With the factory Medium Mainspring, SA pull is approximately 3 lb. Switching to the factory Light Mainspring reduces SA to approximately 2.75 lb. and DA to approximately 5.5 lb. The Light Mainspring may reduce ignition reliability with some primers; test for consistent primer strikes before competition use.
