Frequently Asked Questions

Will this trigger work with a factory Hellcat RDP?

The RDP uses the same frame and fire control unit, but the threaded barrel and compensator may create clearance issues with the trigger shoe’s overtravel stop. Test fit with the slide removed before final assembly. If the trigger binds, remove the overtravel set screw 1/4 turn at a time until free movement is restored.

Does this trigger reduce pull weight below 5 lbs?

Not reliably. The kit is designed to settle at 5.0–5.5 lbs after break-in. If you need sub-5 lb pulls, you would need to modify the sear spring or replace the striker block spring — which this kit does not include. For defensive use, 5.0–5.5 lbs is the recommended minimum.

What’s the difference between the Classic and Type 3 triggers?

Only the shoe aesthetics differ. The Type 3 has chamfered front corners and decorative cuts on the visible sides. The trigger bow geometry, sear engagement surface, and internal tolerances are identical. Performance is the same — choose based on visual preference.
