These are replacement spare buffers for the Apex Durable Striker assembly. The buffer is the polymer impact component that absorbs striker fall energy and cushions the sear engagement surface. While the Durable Buffer is designed for extended service life and we have not yet documented a failure or wear-out in field use, some armorers and high-round-count shooters prefer to swap buffers during scheduled maintenance or when rebuilding a striker assembly. This part is strictly a service replacement—it does not alter pull weight, reset, or trigger geometry. It must be used in conjunction with the Apex Durable Striker assembly. This buffer is not compatible with the Apex HD Striker or any other striker on the market.

FAQ
How often should I replace the Durable Buffer?
There is no mandated replacement interval. We recommend inspecting the buffer during annual maintenance or every 10,000 rounds. Replace if you see cracking, deformation, or compression that prevents the buffer from sitting flat against the striker body.
Will this buffer work with my Apex HD Striker?
No. The Durable Buffer is dimensionally and materially specific to the Apex Durable Striker assembly. Installing it on an HD Striker or any other striker will cause function issues and should not be attempted.
Can I use this buffer as a spare without installing it immediately?
Yes. The buffer is shelf-stable and does not degrade in storage. Keep it in your parts kit for future maintenance cycles.
