This is a factory-compatible stripped slide assembly for the FN 509 platform, machined to 5.00″ length for extended sight radius and improved ballistic performance. It replaces the factory slide to accommodate an Aimpoint Acro or Steiner MPS footprint optic directly, eliminating the need for adapter plates. The slide is cut with front and rear cocking serrations (choose Classic or Lightning Bolt pattern) for positive manipulation under any condition. Suppressor-height black-on-black sights are pre-installed. The black PVD finish provides corrosion resistance and low-glare signature. This is a stripped unit—you must supply all internal components from your existing FN 509 slide, plus a 5″ barrel. All internal spaces accept factory FN parts. Apex ported barrel required for the slide ports to function as designed.

Install Difficulty

Will this slide fit my FN 509 Compact?
Yes, mechanically. The slide is 5.00″ length—the Compact slide measures ~4.0″. You will need a 5″ barrel (factory or Apex). Expect slide overhang past the dust cover. No functional issues.
Do I need to use an Apex barrel with the ported slide?
Only if you want the slide ports to function. The ports are machined to align with Apex ported barrels. Using a non-ported barrel (factory or Apex non-ported) will leave the slide ports non-functional—cosmetic only. No safety issue.
What parts do I need to complete this slide?
You need all internal components from your factory FN 509 slide: firing pin, firing pin spring, extractor, extractor spring, plunger, plunger spring, recoil spring assembly, and barrel.
