Tools needed: punch (3/32″ or 2.5mm), non-marring hammer or mallet, and a bench block. No trigger group disassembly required. Drive pin from right side to left for removal, reverse for installation. Single-use recommended – replace pin each time it is removed.
FAQ
Why does this pin need to be replaced after removal?
Coil pins are designed for single-use installation. Once compressed and seated, the pin’s tension characteristics change. Reusing a removed coil pin may result in looser fit or reduced retention. Three pins are included to cover multiple maintenance cycles.
Will this pin affect trigger pull weight or reset?
No. This pin only secures the front unlocking block. Trigger performance, pull weight, and reset distance are unaffected by this component.
Does this pin work with aftermarket triggers or barrels?
Yes. It is a direct replacement for the factory front locking block pin and is compatible with standard, threaded, and aftermarket barrels, as well as aftermarket trigger systems—provided the slide and frame are factory-spec FN 509 or FNS/FNS-C.
