This Low Profile Loaded Chamber Indicator replaces the factory part on compatible Smith & Wesson M&P pistols. The factory indicator sits high in the slide and can intrude into the sight picture, especially under recoil. This component sits flush with the slide top, eliminating that visual distraction while retaining tactile-only confirmation of a chambered round. Precision machined from steel with a Melonite finish, it provides positive, silent feedback without painted markings or raised letters.
Compatibility
- Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm (full-size, Compact, Shield, Shield Plus – verify slide cut)
- Smith & Wesson M&P 40 (full-size, Compact)

- Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 series (all calibers with factory LCI slot)
- Does not fit M&P 22, M&P 15-22, or Performance Center models with milled optic cuts that remove the LCI slot.

FAQ
Will this work with my M&P 2.0 with an optics cut?
If your slide still retains the factory LCI slot (i.e., the optics cut does not remove the indicator pocket), yes. Many factory M&P 2.0 slides with the “CORE” cut still have the LCI slot. If you have an aftermarket milled slide that removed the LCI pocket, this will not fit.
Does this change the function of the loaded chamber indicator?
No. The factory LCI is a mechanical device that rises when the extractor is pushed outward by a rimmed case. This replacement uses the same interface. It does not affect feeding, extraction, or the trigger system. It simply reduces the visual footprint of the indicator while preserving tactile-only confirmation.
Can I use this with a red dot sight?
Yes. Because this indicator sits flush with the slide top, it will not block the lower 1/3 of a red dot window. The factory indicator, by contrast, can obstruct the dot or the rear notch depending on the dot mount height.
