This component replaces the factory extractor with a part built around a more robust claw profile and proprietary geometry. The primary failure point on many Glock extractors is the claw—chipped, worn, or improperly tensioned claws lead to erratic ejection, stovepipes, and failure to extract. This extractor addresses that by using a thicker, hardened claw and revised internal geometry to maintain consistent rim engagement through the entire cycle. The result is a uniform ejection pattern and improved reliability, particularly in high-round-count guns or those running suppressed or with heavy recoil springs.

- Does not fit slim-frame models (G43, G43X, G48, G42) or G44 (.22 LR)
Key Features
- Robust extractor claw—taller and thicker than OEM, reduces rim-slip and breakage
- Proprietary internal geometry for consistent tension across the extractor depressor plunger
- Standard size—drops into factory slide cuts without modification
- Heat-treated tool steel construction, black nitride finish for corrosion resistance
- Direct replacement for factory extractor; no fitting required
Install Difficulty: 2 / 5
Basic armorer-level work. Requires removal of the backplate, firing pin assembly, and extractor depressor plunger. Tools needed: Glock disassembly tool or punch, small hammer, and slave pin for the depressor plunger (or a paperclip). Time: 5–10 minutes. If extraction issues persist after installation, inspect the extractor depressor plunger spring—replace the Spring Load Bearing (SLB) assembly if it shows wear.
FAQ
Will this fix my Glock that fails to extract every 2–3 rounds?
Not guaranteed, but it’s the first part to check. If the factory claw is chipped or rounded, this extractor resolves that. If the problem is a weak extractor spring or a burred chamber, this won’t fix it. Replace the extractor depressor plunger spring simultaneously for best results.
Does this work in a Gen5 G19 MOS?
Yes. This extractor fits Gen5 full-size and compact frames (G17, G19, G34, G45). It uses the same extractor geometry as earlier generations; the Gen5 ambi slide stop does not affect compatibility.
Do I need to tune the extractor tension?
No. This component uses a fixed geometry—no adjustment screw or bendable arm. Tension is set by the depressor plunger spring. If ejection is weak, check that spring first.
